The operating decisions behind the AI headlines
A first WCAI Briefing on agent authority, infrastructure control and the evidence needed to fund AI.
A monthly perspective on the developments that change AI decisions, with sources and practical implications.
The WCAI Briefing is a web publication for leaders deciding how to fund, govern and operate AI. Its purpose is to explain which developments change an institutional decision and what evidence a leadership team should examine next. The first issue is available below; subsequent issues are planned monthly.
Our intended readers include boards, executive teams, finance and operations leaders, technology sponsors and risk colleagues. Singapore and ASEAN provide the regional context. Global developments matter when they change the options, costs, dependencies or authority available to those organisations.
Each issue will select a small number of consequential developments across Institutional AI, AI Governance, Sovereign AI & Strategic Infrastructure, and AI & Financial Systems. The selection will follow the decision at stake: a funding commitment, a supplier choice, an operating permission or a change in oversight.
An issue will explain what happened, what the evidence supports and why it matters. It will distinguish a product announcement from an operating result, a regulatory proposal from an implemented requirement, and a forecast from a measured change. Sources and coverage dates will remain visible so readers can inspect the basis of the interpretation.
The Briefing will also connect a development to a practical question or resource. A board discussion may need a short decision note; an operating team may need a supplier evidence request, evaluation protocol or financial worksheet. Those resources should help the reader move from awareness to a specific next step.
Monthly issues will provide continuity: what has changed since the previous issue, which assumptions still hold and which questions remain unresolved. Quarterly reviews serve a different purpose, giving a broader account of the period with a separate coverage window. A retrospective will retain its actual publication date.
Released issues appear in the archive with their actual publication dates. Email subscription is not open yet; it will become available when a mailing service and opt-in process are in place.
For now, explore the research library, insights and working resources. To suggest a question the Briefing should investigate, contact WCAI with the decision and the evidence that would help resolve it. An inquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
