WCAI publishes to help readers make decisions about operating with AI. A useful piece identifies the decision, shows the evidence and explains where its conclusion stops.
Evidence and interpretation
Link material factual claims to original sources where available. Preserve the measurement period, population and geography when they affect meaning. A supplier's reported revenue, a survey of adoption and a buyer's operating return answer different questions.
Distinguish reported facts from our interpretation. Identify proposed methods and fictional examples where used. We do not turn a research plan into completed fieldwork, a protocol into a benchmark or an industry example into a WCAI project.
Dates and revision
The publication date places each piece in the editorial archive. Coverage periods, research cutoffs and update dates are separate. Retrospective editions retain an archive date and identify the latest reviewed edition separately; updated editions may include evidence released after that archive date. Material revisions should include an update date and a note describing the change; corrections should not disappear through silent rewriting.
Contribution and affiliations
Credit people for the writing, review or other contribution they actually made and agreed to have attributed. A biography alone does not establish authorship. Professional affiliations provide context and do not imply endorsement or institutional participation.
Disclose the capacity in which an external contributor participates. Contributions are reviewed for evidence, argument and relevance; commercial interest does not exempt them from those standards.
Funding and conflicts
Disclose commissioned or sponsored work and relevant commercial interests on the affected publication. Separate a supported editorial conclusion from an engagement proposition. Sponsors may identify factual issues; WCAI retains final editorial control over conclusions and publication. Sponsorship does not confer the right to determine findings or suppress an inconvenient conclusion.
WCAI provides advisory and implementation services. Readers should be able to assess our analysis without treating a commercial invitation as evidence for it. Particular funding arrangements are stated when they exist, rather than implied through a generic independence claim.
AI-assisted preparation
AI tools can support research discovery, drafting and editing. Their output is not a source. Material claims require inspection of the underlying evidence; final release requires accountable editorial approval. We do not use synthetic quotations, invented interviews or fabricated personal experience to make a piece appear more authoritative.
Corrections and challenges
Send the publication URL, disputed claim and supporting evidence to hello@worldcouncil.ai, with “Editorial correction” in the subject. We will examine material challenges and record substantive corrections with the affected piece. A disagreement over interpretation should be addressed as such, rather than rewritten as a factual error.
These principles describe the publishing standard. They do not constitute an external assurance opinion, regulatory certification or evidence that every proposed institutional programme has begun.
